Description

New Dellow Conversions cast alloy precision CNC machined bellhousing to replace the original Rover transmission with the Tremec T5 manual 5 speed. Conversion is suitable for MGB MKI & MKII, Rover Cars, Triumph or hand built sport vehicles.  There are many different T5’s available globally with different shaft lengths and stick positions, refer to conversion notes.

Conversion Notes:

  1. Rover V8 flywheels are difficult to come by. A Range Rover flywheel can be used but being too heavy will require lightening to 13KG and drilled and tapped for our clutch setup @ $295 (no re-facing / surface grinding is performed). Send to 37 Daisy St Revesby, NSW 2214, Australia.
  2. In Australia there are 15 different T5 transmissions available, so be cautious when buying to select the right one. In our experience the Ford Falcon EA to EL 6-cylinder T5 has the correct shaft length (167mm) and favourable stick position for vehicle conversions. Please confirm front shaft length and notify us when ordering.
  3. In the UK & USA the T5 typically available has a 180mm front shaft length. Please confirm front shaft length and notify us when ordering
  4. For export customers, prices are in A$. Customs duties may be payable in your country.
  5. The bellhousing can be made in several configurations:
  • Concentric Slave – No fork hole entry
  • High fork position – 18 degrees declination from horizontal – provisioned for conversion slave cylinder
  • Mid fork position – 34 degrees declination from horizontal – manufactured with a slave cylinder bracket (included with bellhousing) for the MGB slave cylinder.
  • Low fork position (pictured) – 38 degrees declination from horizontal – provisioned for conversion slave cylinder

6. The Mid & Low fork position is best to clear the chassis for MGBs and Triumph TRs       which can be an issue.
