ABOUT THE TKO600

Ridding the world of outdated 4-speeds and overworked factory 5-speeds, the TREMEC TKO was a popular and versatile performance manual transmission available in the aftermarket. Begging the question, “Why crush rocks when you could move mountains?”, the TKO is an extremely durable unit, perfect for retrofits in early muscle cars and street rods in addition to its originally intended purpose as a significant strength upgrade for late-model muscle machines. Handling up to 600 lb-ft. of torque, the TKO offers strength without compromise; combining awesome power-handling abilities with crisp, positive shift characteristics. A wide range of shifter locations allow for adaptation to an even wider range of vehicles. Add to that a deep overdrive for big savings at the pump and it’s easy to see how the TKO has become a legend in it’s own time!

TKO 600 AWESOME

This is the 15 that year and over 60,000 kilometres behind a Supercharged Cleveland in an XBGT. Driven not hidden, as far as Adelaide and back from Sydney, Melbourne, Bathurst this box has taken everything I’ve given it including turning tyres like cheese cutters but in fact 285/45/18 continental contact 2s, it’s a great hear box. Takes time to get use to the shifter but I still run the standard shifter, if your getting out of top loader you should invest in the next level shifter. I run 4:11s with a 27 inch tall tyre in 5th gear 100ks is doing a mild 2100 rpm, 80ks gets as low as 1600rpm. You won’t be disappointed
