2021 Revision

New adaptor plate kit is designed for an engine swap that fits an LS1 LS2 LS3 alloy block engine to the Ford 351 ZF – 5 speed manual transmission. The kit uses the existing Ford 11″ clutch plate in conjunction with the LS Pressure Plate / Flywheel combination.  The spigot bush supplied is designed for the LS crank to take the Ford ZF box and the kit uses the GM starter motor.

Ridding your “F” series truck 1988 and onwards of the original heavy cast iron engine to the lightweight all alloy GM LS V8 fuel injected engine will enable better fuel economy and improve horsepower.

* Adaptor plate 10MM steel
* Adaptor Bolts & Spigot Bush with Insert

  1. Adaptor will also fit the Mazda transmission M5OD-R1 & M5OD-R2 also found in F Trucks

Good , but needs trimming

All in all I'm happy with this kit, it does require some trimming of the plate and bolts. But let's face it if you are doing an ls swap you will need to be able to or have something that can cut, weld and grind... don't listen to the other guy who left a review he is trying to put a diesel transmission on an gas motor. Ford's transmissions are diffrent from gas to diesel... this kit only fits the gas transmissions. I giving it 4 stars just because the starter hold had to have about an 1in cut off not a big deal for me but might be for someone else.

Adapter plate is too small

My adapter plate is too small it will not fit I have a zf-5 transmission

Great, but needs alot of trimming

Great product overall, but a lot of trimming was needed to fit. You need to cut out the area for the starter, and a few spots on the top for bolt heads. Also you will need to trim down the dowels of the LS block it else they stick out and hit the trans. All the bolt holes like up great and the pilot bushing fits perfect. Also only 2 of the supplied transmission bolts are long enough. You will need to buy 6 longer ones.
